Extracts (direct quote / edited) from Minutes of County Convention 27 January 1935

Payment of Field Rents
A delegate asked why some field rents had not been paid to clubs. The Secretary explained that “most of the clubs to which field rents were due owed the County Board considerable sums and he withheld the field rents until the clubs had cleared their debts to the County Board”. He also said “the current account was overdrawn by £60 and it would be necessary to have special permission if the overdraft went any higher”
Team lists
“In all finals lists of 22 players in duplicate to the County Sec five days before match, one copy to the opposing team, the other to be retained by the Co Secretary. Except where a player plays under a false name, no objection to the constitution of the team can be entertained, subsequent to match unless protest be made beforehand and points of protest explicitly given”.
Galway Team
Mr T Lawlor raised a point as to the letters that appeared in the Leinster Leader about the Galway team as All-Ireland champions. He was sure the views were not those of the Gaels of Kildare and suggested that something be done to convey to the Galway team the correct views of Kildare Gaels. It was decided that three officers of the Board would meet the Galway team on their arrival in Newbridge for the National League game on 2 February to present their views to the players.
Convention Venue
Mr Jones raised the question of the fixing of the Annual Convention permanently at Naas. He stated that no Convention could bind permanently. It was better to have a change of venue each year. As the minute could not bind, it was deleted”.
“Clane was granted permission to run a one-day tournament in aid if the Staplestown Church Fund on Easter Sunday”.
