A total of 50 camps were held in Kildare this summer with the addition of Round Towers Hurling. Over the past number of years the success of the camps have grown exponentially with this summer seeing record numbers of children attending camps in every corner of the county we had an increase of 1009 children in 2016.
The camps themselves, which are held in both hurling and football clubs, provide boys and girls an action packed and fun-filled week of activity during summer holidays which revolves around maximising enjoyment and sustaining participant involvement in Gaelic Games.
